Maxwell High School of Technology
is a public charter school that offers 17 cutting-edge programs to students from all Gwinnett County high schools. Students may be able to earn college credit or advanced placement through articulation agreements with post-secondary technical colleges and universities.

Why Maxwell?

  • Many Maxwell programs have earned industry certification, in which industry professionals conduct on-site visits to ensure that the programs provide a high-level curriculum, use up-to-date equipment, and model industry-standard work and safety conditions.
  • As a student, you have the opportunity to participate in the Rising Professionals program, studying conflict resolution, business etiquette, business ethics, job application completion, resume writing, and interviewing.
  • Maxwell students have the opportunity to participate in regional, state, and national competitions through the national nonprofit SkillsUSA. This organization teaches leadership skills, teamwork, and character development.
  • The Work-Based Learning program gives you opportunities to work in your anticipated career field through cooperative education, internships, and/or apprenticeships, applying knowledge and skills from the classroom to real-life situations in the workplace.
  • Transportation is provided to and from GCPS high schools.

Grayson technical education program

The Technical Education Program at Grayson High School offers 11 innovative career pathway programs for Juniors and Seniors in all Gwinnett County high schools to explore. Students in each program earn 4 total credits, with at least one academic credit. The entire staff is dedicated to providing students with the best learning experiences possible. Students are encouraged to create pathways to their futures. They have opportunities to develop leadership and work-ready skills that will serve them well now and in life after high school. Students discover that Grayson Tech is a vibrant place to learn, develop, and grow.

  • Grayson Tech students are encouraged to join and participate in one of several student organizations such as SkillsUSA, FCCLA, and FFA. Membership in one of these organizations allows you the opportunity to gain more industry-related experience in your chosen field through activities, competitions, and projects.
